Music Groups Family Singers Anyone who enjoys singing is welcome to join this group. It is designed for children through adults. The group meets for rehearsals on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. and sings for selected services during the church year. Both contemporary and traditional music are used. The director is Jan Altemier. Bell Choirs Good Shepherd is proud of the extensive groups of bell choirs which provide special music for services. Whether you can read music or not, you are welcome to join one of the bell choirs. There are four different choirs which vary from second grade students to adults. Children's Bells 1 This bell choir is composed of students who are in the second or third grade. It meets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The director is Jan Altemier. Children's Bells 2 Fourth and fifth grade students compose this bell choir. It meets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The director is Janine Niemeyer. Children's Bells 3 The third children's bell choir is composed of sixth through eighth grade students. It meets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The director is Joan Arndt. Shepherd Ringers For students in the ninth grade or higher as well as adults, this bell choir meets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. The director is Ione Muller.
